Rock Grapple - Super Duty - by Jenkins Iron & Steel

Rock Grapple - Super Duty - by Jenkins Iron & Steel

Super Duty Skeleton Rock & Brush Grapple — the heavy-duty upgrade over the standard skeleton grapple. Built for 90+ HP skid steers with the main reinforcements where lighter grapples give up: ¾″ grapple walls, ½″ steel teeth, oversized 2½″ bore cylinders, and full hose/cylinder protection.

Built for contractor abuse — not weekend cleanup.

Super Duty Skeleton Rock & Brush Grapple

The Super Duty Skeleton Rock & Brush Grapple is purpose-built for brutal cleanup and land-clearing work where lighter grapples get bent, twisted, or destroyed. Designed for 90+ HP skid steers, it combines a high-visibility skeleton profile (so you can see what you’re grabbing) with heavy-wall construction that’s meant to stay straight under real abuse.

Up front, a serrated ¾″ cutting edge bites into brush piles and debris instead of skating across them. Behind that, the grapple uses ¾″ grapple walls and ½″ steel teeth to clamp, rake, and separate material with far less flex than typical ⅜″-tooth designs—ideal for rock, storm cleanup, roots, and dense brush.

Hydraulics are built to match the frame: oversized 2½″ bore cylinders, full cylinder guards, and full hose protection keep the working parts shielded where grapples usually fail first. Pivot areas are reinforced with square tubing to stiffen the structure and extend service life in high-stress applications.

Key Features

  • Built for 90+ HP skid steers for serious heavy-duty work.
  • ¾″ grapple walls for maximum rigidity and durability.
  • ½″ steel teeth for longer wear life vs. common ⅜″ designs.
  • Serrated ¾″ front cutting edge for aggressive bite and raking.
  • Oversized 2½″ bore cylinders for strong, consistent clamping force.
  • Full cylinder guards plus fully protected hoses routed safely through the grapple.
  • Square-tube reinforced pivot points to reduce flex and extend life.

Best For

  • Land clearing, brush removal, and root/grub cleanup
  • Storm debris cleanup (limbs, logs, scrap, tangled material)
  • Rock picking, site cleanup, and separating soil from debris
  • Raking and piling material prior to burning, chipping, or hauling

Core Construction Specs

Recommended Machine 90+ HP skid steers
Grapple Wall Thickness ¾″
Tooth Material ½″ steel
Front Cutting Edge Serrated ¾″
Cylinders Oversized 2½″ bore
Protection Full cylinder guards + fully protected hoses
Reinforcement Square tubing at pivot points
Pro Tip: If your current grapple flexes, twists, or keeps blowing hoses/cylinder seals, you’re under-built. This is the “stop replacing grapples” option.

Super Duty vs Standard Commercial Skeleton Grapple — what’s the difference? The Standard Commercial Duty grapple is built for general cleanup and everyday brush handling. The Super Duty Skeleton Grapple is a major structural upgrade engineered for 90+ HP skid steers and contractor-level abuse.

Feature Standard Skeleton Grapple ⭐ Super Duty Skeleton Grapple
(You’re viewing this model)
Tine / Wall Thickness 3/8″ thick tines on 3″ spacing ¾″ grapple walls (significantly heavier)
Teeth Material 3/8″ tines ½″ steel teeth (more wear resistant)
Front Cutting Edge ½″ Grade 50 serrated edge ¾″ serrated cutting edge (more aggressive)
Hydraulic Cylinders Standard cylinder setup Oversized 2½″ bore cylinders for more clamp force
Protection & Reinforcement Greaseable pivots + cylinder covers Full hose & cylinder guards + square-tube pivot reinforcement
Machine Class General skid steer compatibility Built specifically for 90+ HP skid steers

Bottom line: If you’re doing occasional brush cleanup, the standard grapple is a great fit. If you’re moving heavy rock, storm debris, and clearing land daily, the Super Duty version is built to survive where lighter grapples fail.
