Shipping policy

🚛 Freight & Shipping Policy

At Skid Steer Attachment Shop, most of our products ship via freight due to their size and weight. Please review the information below so you know exactly what to expect before your order ships.

📦 General Shipping Information
  • Most attachments and large items ship via LTL freight carrier.
  • Smaller parts and accessories typically ship via UPS Ground.
  • As a general rule, items over 90 lbs or oversized items ship freight.
  • Freight costs are calculated per order based on item size, weight, and delivery location.
  • A responsible adult must be present at delivery to receive and sign for freight shipments.
🚚 Delivery Requirements

Freight shipments are delivered on a pallet by a semi truck. Proper unloading equipment is required.

  • A forklift, skid steer, or loading dock is typically required to unload freight.
  • Residential deliveries usually require a scheduled delivery appointment.
  • The freight carrier will typically call ahead to schedule delivery.
⚠️ No-Show Delivery Policy

If no one is available during the scheduled delivery window, the carrier may assess a No-Show Fee.

  • No-Show fees typically range from $80 to $475, depending on the carrier.
  • These fees are billed directly to the customer.
  • Additional redelivery or storage charges may also apply.
🛠️ Lift Gate Service

If your location does not have a loading dock or forklift, lift gate service is required to safely lower the pallet to the ground.

  • Lift gate service must be requested before shipment.
  • Failure to request a lift gate may result in delivery delays or additional fees.
  • Lift gate fees vary based on carrier and location.
🏞️ Remote Access & Special Area Fees

Some delivery addresses are classified by freight carriers as remote, limited access, or special zones.

  • If your address qualifies, an additional remote access handling fee may apply.
  • Fees are determined by the carrier, not by Skid Steer Attachment Shop.
  • We will notify you if a surcharge applies before or after booking freight.
📦 Freight Inspection & Damage

Inspect all freight immediately upon delivery before signing.

  • Check for visible damage and verify all items and components are present.
  • If damage is found, clearly note it on the delivery receipt or handheld device.
  • If damage is severe, refuse the shipment and do not sign for delivery.

Important: Freight claims are unlikely to be approved if damage is not documented at the time of delivery.

❌ Lost or Missing Shipments

If you believe your shipment is missing or incomplete, contact us immediately.

  • We will open a case with the freight carrier on your behalf.
  • Carrier investigations may take up to 14 business days.
  • Resolution timelines are controlled by the carrier.

Note: Freight shipping involves third-party carriers and additional handling requirements. By placing an order, you acknowledge and accept these freight policies and potential carrier-related delays or fees.
